FIX: Dragging and dropping Outlook messages in quick succession results in file lock message Print ZTN4412 ID: ZTN4412 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Zetadocs for NAV version 7 Zetadocs Express version 7 Outlook 2010 and 2013 Symptom When dragging and dropping Outlook messages in quick succession into the Zetadocs factbox, users may intermittently experience the following error message: In the ZetadocsCaptureAddin.log file, a log line similar to the below is seen: 04/02/2015-15:49:38.319-Warning-8-x9bd335d2b2ae2a9d.Upload() Zetadocs.Exceptions.BaseException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\equisys\AppData\Local\Temp\ad3acb46-b917-419b-88f4-718f01c9d72b\test.msg' because it is being used by another process. ---> System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\equisys\AppData\Local\Temp\ad3acb46-b917-419b-88f4-718f01c9d72b\test.msg' because it is being used by another process. When this issue occurs, subsequent drag drops may not work until the Navision client is restarted. Cause This was due to a timing issue between fetching metadata information from the Outlook file, and archiving of the file. Outlook locks the message file when fetching the metadata and, in some instances, the lock is not released before Zetadocs attempts to archive the message. Resolution This issue has been resolved in the April update rollup (7.0.392) of Zetadocs for NAV, available for download here. Status This behaviour was corrected in the update detailed above. Zetadocs Express will have this behaviour corrected in the next major update. Last updated: 24th April 2015 (NT/JV) Keywords: Object Model Error cannot open file as its being used another process
