HOWTO: Run the Zetafax Connector in debug mode for Exchange 5.5 Print ZTN1319 ID: ZTN1319 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax connector for Exchange 5.5 version 7.5 or later Summary When trouble-shooting issues with the Zetafax connector, it may be necessary to run it in debug mode to gather appropriate log information. This technical note describes the procedure to run the Zetafax connector for Exchange 5.5 in debug mode using the exchange services account. More information Note: Equisys recommends that you DO NOT run the connector in debug mode unless you are specifically troubleshooting a possible issue with the Zetafax installation. This is because the size of the Log files can become very large and lead to disk space problems. To enable the connector to run in debug mode work through the following steps on the Exchange server with the Zetafax Connector: Logon on to the exchange server system with the exchange services account and stop the Zetafax connector service. Open a command prompt. In DOS navigate to the < exchsrvr> /connect/zetafax folder (where < exchsrvr> is the path to the exchange server program folder). Type in zfconnector notserv zfconnector The connector will be in debug mode. Once this is enabled please send a fax and receive a fax via the email gateway using Outlook. This will generate the required information in the log files. To stop the Zetafax connector running in debug mode type in Crtl C or close the DOS window.
