FIX: Zetafax Server fails when receiving faxes using SR140 with the H.323 protocol Print ZTN1864 ID: ZTN1864 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 2011 Symptom The Zetafax Server shuts down unexpectedly when receiving a fax. The issue only applies to systems which are using SR140 with the H.323 protocol. Cause This issue is caused by a difference between the T38 and H.323 protocols when the gateway passes the caller information through to the Zetafax Server. When using the H.323 protocol a much longer value is passed through to Zetafax Server, which then needs to be parsed to extract the fax number. The length of this value causes the problem described above. Resolution This problem can be resolved by installing a patch which is available here. This patch is available using the password provided in your monthly Software Assurance newsletter. For more details on gaining access to this password email: support@equisys.com Status This behaviour was corrected in a patch available for Zetafax.
