FIX: Combining TIFF/TIF files from the Zetadocs PDF Client causes the client to hang.

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:
- Zetadocs PDF Client 7.1 and earlier.
Symptom
When attempting to combine a TIFF/TIF file in a new or existing document, the Zetadocs Client will display the screen below and hang:
Cause
When combining a TIFF/TIF file, the Zetadocs PDF Client is looking for the associated application to proceed. This can cause the Client to hang if the default application to open TIFF/TIF files is not set as Microsoft Paint .
Resolution
This problem can be resolved by changing the default application for opening TIFF/TIF files:
- Right click on a TIFF/TIF file and select Open with and then Choose default program…
- Select the application Paint.
- Tick the option Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
- Click on Ok.
Once the application Paint is set, the Zetadocs Client will stop hanging when combining documents.
Status
This has been identified by Equisys as an issue with the software version given above.
