FIX: File name collision when uploading to SharePoint

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

• Version 5.5 of Zetadocs for Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Symptom

The following error message is displayed when attempting to drag and drop a file:

" Failed to upload document to SharePoint. A file with the same name already exists at the target location."

This issue occurs when the filename already exists in the SharePoint document library, but has a different case, e.g. uploading file TEST.txt but test.txt already exists in SharePoint.

Cause

The issue is caused by a problem with the auto file-renaming performed on upload by Zetadocs for NAV.  It should detect that the file already exists in SharePoint and rename it so that the uploaded file has a unique name, but it is doing that is a case sensitive way.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in the update rollup 5.5.289 of Zetadocs for NAV, available for download here.

Status

This fault was corrected in the above mentioned update.
