FIX: Incorrect caller information being received on an incoming call using Standard FOIP connector

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax Version 2010

Symptom

If a previous fax is received with CSID information and it fails midway through the receiving process, the next fax received will have the CSID information from the previous attempt if the new sender’s CSID is blank. This results in incorrect sender information appearing for a fax message when using the Standard FOIP connector.

Cause

This issue was caused by a fault in the Zetafax Server software.

Resolution

An update is available for download here which resolves this issue for Zetafax 2010 systems.

NOTE - This update is available to customers with a current Software Assurance contract, and requires a current username and password to be entered before download. Software Assurance customers without these details should contact their local distributor or Equisys at support@equisys.com with their entitlement details to obtain their password.

This issue can also be resolved by upgrading to a more recent version.

Status

This issue was corrected in Zetafax 2011.
