FIX: Items are slow to archive to SharePoint when the archive library has many folders

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

• Zetadocs for NAV version 7 using SharePoint Archive.

Symptom

When capturing a file using the Document Factbox, the upload is very slow.

This applies to any systems using the Zetadocs for NAV capture Add-in and SharePoint as the Archive service.

This symptom can be reproduced on system which have a SharePoint document library with many subfolders.

Cause

This problem is caused by the logic used to check for existing folders, making systems with many folders take longer.

Resolution

This fault was corrected in this hotfix, which is available by contacting Equisys Technical Support and quoting the technote number ZTN4422. The logic behind the process of uploading a document has been changed making the process independent of the number of subfolders in a document library.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the hotfix detailed above.
