FIX: Multiple receipt notifications when sending faxes via the Zetafax SMTP Gateway

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

• Zetafax SMTP Gateway Version 8.01 to 9.1

Symptom

When using the Zetafax SMTP Server with Zetafax V8.01 and later you may receive duplicate messages from the gateway (notification of sent faxes).

Cause

The problem arises from an uncleared lookup table in the SMTP Gateway module.

Resolution

An updated version of the SMTP gateway is now available.  To resolve this issue download the updated SMTP gateway file and follow the installation instructions contained in the update to apply it to affected systems.

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions noted above.
