FIX: Printer line not populated when previewing documents in the Zetadocs PDF Client

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:
- Zetadocs PDF Client v9.0 and later
Symptom
The “Printer…” line is empty whilst previewing documents in the Zetadocs PDF Client even though the embedded command specifies a delivery option including print. This issue only occurs if a printer is not specified using the %%[Print: <printer name>] embedded command. If the “Preview document before sending” option is not selected then the document will still be printed to the default printer.
The delivery options affected are:
· %%[DeliveryOption: Print]
· %%[DeliveryOption: EmailandPrint]
· %%[DeliveryOption: FaxandPrint]
· %%[DeliveryOption: emailandfaxandprint]
This issue always occurs in Zetadocs PDF Client v9.0 and later when installed on all systems.
Cause
This issue is caused by a change in the document preview behaviour in versions after Zetadocs PDF Client v8.3.
Resolution
This fault was corrected in a hotfix, which is available by contacting Equisys Technical Support and quoting the technote number ZTN4425. The hotfix enables the previewing of the system default printer when print is included as a delivery option and no individual printer is specified.
Status
This behaviour was corrected in the hotfix detailed above.
