FIX: Tables render incorrectly in PDF files when not using Native Rendering

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

• Zetafax Server version 17.5 with the Rendering Addon

Symptom

When attaching a PDF containing tabular information to a fax message with a certain combination of rendering settings (RenderPDFNatively: NO and IGFunc: Diffusion), the rendered image does not match the content of the PDF, for instance, a table may have blank cells instead of the expected textual contents.

Cause

This issue was due to a bug in the rendering engine used by the Rendering Addon.

Resolution

An update is available here to address this issue. This contains an update to the rendering engine components which has improved parsing capabilities for PDF files and other file types.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the update detailed above.
