FIX: Unable to generate fax log reports

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

• Zetafax 7.00.0.26

Symptom

When attempting to run a fax report on a version 7 Zetafax server that was updated from version 5.5 you receive the following error:

The file < filename and path> is not in FAX.LOG format, or is corrupted.

Cause

This is because there are fax entries in system's sent fax log file (FAX.LOG) that do not contain the 'remote server' field. This field was introduced in version 6.00 and is used with the LCR (Least Cost Routing) module of Zetafax.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by applying the Zetafax update (ZFUPD_V75191.EXE). This is available on the Equisys web site www.equisys.com/updates as a separate download for Zetafax 7 users.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the above mentioned maintenance release.
