FIX: Wrong attachment is added to faxes sent from the Zetafax Terminal Services Client

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

• Zetafax versions prior to 2006 Service Pack 1
• Microsoft Terminal Services - all versions including the Citrix Presentation server add-ons

Symptom

If two users printed a document to the Zetafax Printer at the same time on a Terminal Services computer, there was a small chance of the second print output overwriting the first.  This could then cause the second document to be sent to the first recipient in error.

This would not be visible to the user sending the fax unless they chose to preview the fax before sending.

Cause

Because printing a document usually only takes a few seconds, the chances of two users printing at the same time is small, and the chance of experiencing this problem even smaller.  While this makes it very unlikely that users would experience this problem there was a small chance the printer threads could be misinterpreted.

Resolution

The problem listed above is resolved in Zetafax 2006 Service Pack 1 or later.
