ZTN3593
ID: ZTN3593
This Zetadocs technical note applies to:
- Zetadocs PDF version 8.0 or earlier
- Zetadocs for NAV (versions 4.0 to 5.0) with the Zetadocs Client version 8.0 or earlier
Symptom
When using SMTP email integration it is possible to enter an email address containing a special character, but sending of the document will fail saying that the document could not be sent to all recipients.
An example of a valid email address which will cause this error is: test& user@equisys.com.
Cause
This problem is caused by some incorrect email address validation code in the SMTP sending module of the Zetadocs Client. The validation code does not conform to current standards.
Information on what is a valid email address according to the RFC2822 standard can be found here:
http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2822#section-3.4.1
