FIX: Zetafax Exchange 2007 Connector does not Send to Public Folders

Symptom

The Zetafax server reports “Passing messages to mail gateway” after receiving a fax, however the fax does not get delivered when the fax recipient is a mail enabled public folder or distribution group where the public folder is a member.

Mailbox users are able to receive faxes OK.

Cause

By default Distribution Groups in Exchange 2007 require that all senders are authenticated.

Resolution

Set the Distribution Group to allow anonymous email by following the advice in http://www.equisys.com/technotes/ztn1622.htm

Status

This problem is resolved by following the advice above.
