ZTN1976

ID: ZTN1976

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

  • Zetafax 2012
  • Zetafax 2012 Platform Feature Pack

Symptom

When sending a fax with an image embedded into the message body, the Zetafax SMTP Server terminates unexpectedly. The service is shown as stopped. Typically this occurs if your email contains a signature that includes an image. Text only emails are unaffected.

Cause

This was due to an issue with the Zetafax SMTP Server that caused invalid data to be logged out when embedding images into the body section of an SMTP format message.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in Zetafax 2014
