ZTN1528
ID: ZTN1528
This Zetafax technical note applies to:
- Zetafax 9 and later
Summary

Note: A prefix is any extra digits added to the front of a fax number to allow external lines to be accessed. For example an extra 9.
More information
This is useful when you need to add a prefix to dial out - 9 for instance - and you want to put it by default, so it makes things easier for the user.
- On the Zetafax Server click on Start | Programs | Zetafax and open the Zetafax Configuration program.
- Click on Devices, right-click on your fax device to bring up the Device Options dialog box.
- Choose Edit.
- In the Device options, add the prefix needed in "Dial prefix for external calls" followed by a coma.
You will need to do this on all devices you have configured.
- Once you have changed every device you need to restart the Zetafax server software for the changes to take effect. (On Zetafax Server, option Restart Server)
