- Version 5.0 or later of Zetadocs Express
Summary
This document describes how to collect the Zetadocs Express log files to aid in the investigation and resolution of any Zetadocs Express issues.
More information
Zetadocs Express has two separate log files which record information on Zetadocs operation on the client and server machines respectively. Please note the Server log file only persists whilst the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Role Tailored Client is open so do not close this application or it will be deleted.
Client Log Files
To access the Zetadocs Express Client log files:
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Users\< username> \AppData\Local\Temp\Zetadocs
- Locate the ZetadocsExpress.log file and copy it to a suitable location.
Server Log Files
To access the Zetadocs Express Server log files:
- Open Windows Explorer on the server machine and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\Server\MicrosoftDynamicsNavServer\users\< domain> \< username> \TEMP\Zetadocs
- Locate the Zetadocs-NAV.log file and copy it to a suitable location.
Additionally if using the NAV Web Client Document FactBox, access the log files here:
- Run Zetadocs General Settings page and enable Debug log level.
- Reproduce the action, for example archive or delete a file.
- One log file is created per user C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Temp\Zetadocs\< Username-in-NAV> \ZetadocsArchiveAPI.log
- Typically the < Username-in-NAV> is composed of the domain name and username: < Domain-name> \< Username>
- Once you have acquired the logs submit them all along with your enquiry.
