- Zetafax 2014
Summary
This technote will go through the steps required to configure a Dialogic Diva board with Zetafax.
More information
- Insert the Diva board into an available compatible slot on your server.
- Start the machine and locate your driver by opening the Zetafax CD browser and browsing to Install Zetafax -> Fax Device Drivers and clicking on the Dialogic Drivers link, ensure that you have installed the latest Dialogic Diva System Release drivers for your card. After the driver installation is complete, reboot the machine.
- Open the Zetafax Configuration Console and add the Dialogic Diva device to Zetafax.
How to do this:-
- Right-click 'Devices' and select 'Add' from the menu
- This launches the Device Configuration Wizard
- Click 'Next'
- In the available device list select a ‘Dialogic Diva Server device’
- Complete the other settings in the dialog as required, configuring the controllers and channels as detailed below:
Figure 1: Device Options Dialog
An ISDN or analogue line is plugged into a port on the Diva board, and this is the ‘controller’ that is referred to in the Zetafax configuration program.
Diva ISDN and Diva Analog boards are configured differently so please note the following information carefully:An ISDN BRI line can support two simultaneous calls, so you can add two channels to each BRI port (controller) on the board.
A PRI line can support thirty simultaneous calls, so you can add thirty channels to each PRI port (controller) on the board.
Analog boards are configured as a single controller with number of channels depending on model.
Therefore, step 3 needs to be repeated for each port that is active on the board. Select the controller that maps onto the port number on the Diva board, and select the number of channels that the connected line can support. - After adding each device, proceed to configure it as required e.g. dial prefix, incoming user, etc.
- Close the Zetafax Configuration Program.
- Restart Zetafax server in order for the changes to take effect.
