This technical note details the process of installing the Zetafax Client silently for automation purposes.

To install the Zetafax Client silently simply perform the following:

  1. Download the installation script file available here.
  2. Unzip the archive ZTN1914.zip.
  3. Open a Windows Terminal window. Browse to Start > Run > cmd.
  4. Browse to the location where the archive has been extracted and type the following command:

    5. ZFClientSilentInstall.bat  < ServerName>   < Architecture>

    Where ServerName is the name of the machine where your Zetafax Server is installed.
    Architecture is either ‘86’ or ‘64’ depending on your machine architecture.

    Note: The script will attempt to close Microsoft Outlook if it is already running as the Zetafax Client installation requires this application to be closed in order to install the Zetafax Outlook addin.

  5. The Zetafax Client will install on your system.
  6. Verify the Zetafax Client Applications are installed on your system by reviewing the list of installed applications. Browse to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  7. If any error occurred during the installation, you can get more information from the following installation log file:

            %TEMP%\ZFClientInstall.log
