This technote outlines the process involved in rolling out the Zetafax client and printer via Group Policy

Note:Users on Windows Server 2012 and 2008 should ensure the .Net 3.5 Framework has been installed.
- Start up Active Directory Users and Computers on a system within your network (this is normally found on a Domain controller system and you need to login with Domain administrator privileges).
- Right click domain, and select properties then click on the Group Policy tab.
- Select default domain policy and click edit.
- Browse to Computer configuration/Policies/Administrative templates/windows components/ windows installer.
- Double click " Always install with elevated privileges" and set it to enabled.
- Browse to User configuration/Administrative templates/windows components/ windows installer.
- Double click " Always install with elevated privileges" and set it to enabled.
- (a) Browse to computer configuration/Software Settings/Software installations,
(b) Click Action, New, Package...
(c) Browse to the Zetafax Printer.msi in the \Zetafax\ZF Printer for Group Policy\ folder. - Zetafax 2007 printer.msi
- Zetafax 2008 printer.msi
- Zetafax 2009 printer.msi
- Zetafax 2010 printer.msi
- Zetafax 2011 printer.msi
- Zetafax 2012 printer.msi
- Zetafax 2014 printer.msi
- Right click the Zetafax Printer package you have just created and select properties.
- Click on the deployment tab and verify that " install this application at logon is checked (you may need to click the " assigned" radio button to enable this option).
- (a) Browse to user configuration/Software Settings/Software installations.
(b) Click Action, New, Package...
(c) Browse to \Zfax\system\ folder - Add the ISScript1150.Msi and the Default.msi to the package and press ok.
- Select assigned then click OK.
- Right click the Zetafax Client Applications package you have just created and select properties.
- Click on the deployment tab and verify that " install this application at logon" is checked (you may need to click the " assigned" radio button to enable this option).
(NOTE: you must browse to it as a valid network path that can be resolved by all client Systems)
