INFO: Changes in Brooktrout driver version 6.15.1 update

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

• Zetafax version 17.5 server installed on one of the following operating systems:
  • Windows Server 2022 64-bit
  • Windows Server 2019 64-bit
  • Windows Server 2016 64-bit
  • Windows 10 Enterprise Edition 32-bit and 64-bit versions
  • Windows 11 Enterprise Edition 64-bit
• Zetafax Fax over IP Connector (SR140 Edition)
• Brooktrout TR1034 and Trufax intelligent fax boards

Summary

The Brooktrout 6.15.1 driver update contains a number of fixes and enhancements. It is intended for use on Zetafax version 17.5 systems which use the Zetafax Fax over IP Connector (SR140 Edition) or Brooktrout fax boards.

Note that if you are on an operating system version not listed in this technical note, you should update to one of the listed operating systems prior to installing this update.

The release includes the following changes since version 6.13.2 of the Brooktrout driver which was included in an update for Zetafax version 17.5.

• Support for Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022
  • The software includes full support for Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022.
• Support for Network Address Translation (NAT)
  • Added NAT Traversal functionality that enables SIP and RTP access to the public network in cloud environments where the fax server only has access to a network interface with a local Private IP address
• Resolution of an issue whereby SIP over TLS does not work with wildcard certificates.
• Resolution of a potential firmware crash for systems licensed with 10 or fewer SR140 channels.
• Improved interoperability with some SIP trunks depending on the trunk's T.38 parameters.

To install the update, extract the files to a temporary folder then follow the instructions in the extracted ReadMe file.
