PRB: 1155 INSTMSIW.EXE file not found error when installing the Zetafax web client.

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

• Zetafax web client installation 8.0.0.104

Symptom

When installing the Zetafax web client the error "1155: file D:\zetafax\webclient\INSTMSIW.EXE not found" is reported.

Cause

When the web client is installation is run it checks the system to see if the Microsoft .Net Framework is installed. If .Net is already installed then the Setup.exe program fails.

Resolution

To install the web client on a system with the Microsoft .Net Framework already installed work through the following steps.

1. Insert the Zetafax 8 product CD into the CDRom drive
2. Open windows explorer and browse to the D:\zetafax\webclient folder (D: is the driver letter of the CDRom drive.)
3. Double the "Zetafax Web Client.msi" file to run the installation.

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
