PRB: Connector configuration changes are affected by Active Directory replication latency

This Zetafax technical note applies to:
- Zetafax connector for Microsoft Exchange 2000 version 7.5.0.65
Symptom
Configuration changes are made to the Zetafax connector properties using the Exchange System Manager (ESM), however these changes do not take effect immediately. This is particularly visible when configuring the defaults coversheet and letterhead.
Cause
The connector properties are stored in Active Directory and as such are subject to the intra-site replication schedule. If replication has not yet occurred, the Zetafax Outlook extensions will display the previous available options.
Resolution
As Active Directory latency is unavoidable, you will need to plan for this 5-minute interval when making configuration changes.
Status
