PRB: Outlook Add-in is Enabled for all Terminal Services Users

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:
- Zetadocs for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 1.2
Symptom
When installing Zetadocs for Microsoft Dynamics NAV v1.2 in a terminal services environment, the outlook add-in module is installed and enabled for all terminal services users.
After the installation, terminal services users that compose a message in Outlook and add an attachment will be offered to the options to convert the attachment to PDF by the following dialog:
Cause
The default settings for the Zetadocs Outlook add-in are not meant to be used in a terminal services environment where some users are not using Zetadocs. This is a known issue in this release.
Resolution
When installing Zetadocs for Microsoft Dynamics NAV on a terminal server, please do the following:
- Log onto the Terminal Server machine locally as an administrator.
- Bring up the command prompt.
- Navigate to the following folder on your Zetadocs CD: Zetadocs NAV Client\ISSetupPrerequisites\{DBECCFED-E0C9-4EE7-A50B-8EF2FAA35AC1}\
- Type the following:
change user /install - Type the following:
setup. exe /V" ADDINS=0 /L*v %TEMP%\ZDClientInstall.log" - This runs the Zetadocs PDF installer for all users with the Outlook add-in disabled.
- Run through this installer, as you would normally.
- When the installer is complete, type the following at the command line:
change user /execute - Exit the command prompt.
- Execute the installer on your Zetadocs for Microsoft Dynamics NAV CD and run through the installer UI as you would normally.
Status
This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
