PRB: Sage Line 50 custom report designer

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

• Zetadocs for Accounting version 3
• Sage Line 50

Symptom

When a statement or an invoice is printed to the Zetadocs printer it is displayed as a custom document and all the fields fails to show i.e. Company Name, Name, Fax Number etc.

Cause

Zetadocs for accounting is only able to recognise reports that are sent using the correct naming procedure set out in Sage Line 50.

Resolution

When creating a new custom report in Sage L50 ensure that you use the correct naming proceedure:

• For custom invoice forms use INV as the first 3 characters. 
• For modified sales order forms, the first 3 chars will have to be SOP
• For statements use STAT and for purchase orders use PUR.

Examples of this include: INVEQUI.SLY, STATEQUI.SLY, PUREQUI.SLY and SOPEQUI.SLY

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
