- Microsoft Outlook 2010 – 32bit Edition
Symptom
On attempting to perform a Save and Send from the RoleTailored client with Microsoft Outlook the following message is displayed:
On clicking OK another error message is displayed by the RoleTailored client saying “This message is for C/AL programmers: The call to member Send failed”. The error message is displayed below:
The Save and Send will not have been completed, click OK to continue and use the information below to resolve the issue.
Cause
The Save and Send functionality opens an new Outlook email filled with relevant information such as contact address, the report saved as an attachment, record type and number.
This issue occurs because Microsoft Outlook is using an old copy of the user’s Outlook data file. In showing this message box, Outlook prevents Zetadocs Express from interacting with it and opening the corresponding email.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, the old Outlook data file must be saved under a different name and then be deleted to let Outlook create a new one and not display this message again.
Equisys recommends users get Outlook support from Microsoft regarding this issue from the following website: http://support.microsoft.com/ph/928/en.
Status
This has been identified by Equisys as a configuration problem between the Zetadocs Express and Microsoft Outlook versions given above
