PRB: Unable to open the Web Client Document FactBox Add-in on a modified page

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2, NAV 2015 and NAV 2016
  • Versions v6.0/v6.1/v7.0/v7.1 of Zetadocs for NAV
  • Zetadocs Express

Symptom

The following error message is displayed when attempting to open a modified page after importing language modules in from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 to NAV 2016: “A call for Zeatdocs.NetApi.Archive.Models.MetadataWrapper.TryGetValue failed with this message: The type of one or more arguments does not match the type parameter of the method”.

Following this error message being displayed in the appropriate language, the Web Client Document FactBox does not display any related documents.

Cause

This is a known issue with importing language modules from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 to NAV 2016.

Resolution

Please follow the steps:

  1. Open the NAV Development Environment.
  2. Go to Tools -> Object Designer.
  3. Select Zetadocs-Archive codeunit (Id 9041220) and compile that object. To perform this step, please note that you need to install the Zetadocs NAV Server Extensions first.
  4. Test it. Open again the page in the Web Client and verify that the error has disappeared.
