PRB: Web client displays code instead of Inbox and Outbox

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

Zetafax 8.0 and later

Symptom

After installing the Web client, you load http:///Zetafax in a web browser, but get the HTML and ASP code instead of the inbox and outbox.

If you check the properties of the Zetafax virtual folder in IIS, and click on Configuration to view the application mappings, you find that there is no association for ASPX.

Cause

This behaviour occurs if the .NET framework is not properly registered on the web server.

Resolution

Reinstall the .NET framework, either from the Zetafax CD or from any other suitable source.

Once it is installed, check that all the .NET extensions appear in the Application mappings for the Zetafax virtual folder in IIS:
