PRB: Zetadocs created PDFs have margins that are outside the printed page

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

  • Zetadocs Client v6

Symptom

Even though the preview of the printed output scales correctly within the Zetadocs Client, the PDF that is created is missing part of the page.

Cause

The Zetadocs Automation Printer and Zetadocs PDF Printer are set to Letter size paper by default. When printing an A4 page to either printer the margins will not be set correctly.

Resolution

Set the Printing Defaults on these Printers to A4.

  1. Open Printers and Faxes.
  2. Right-click the Printer and choose Printing Preferences.
  3. On the Device Settings tab change Paper: to A4, 210 x 297mm under the Paper Size: section.
  4. Click OK to save the change.

Status

This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
