PRB - Zetafax 2008 installation hangs when upgrading from Zetafax version 9 or 10

This Zetafax technical note applies to:
- Zetafax version 9, version 10 (2006) and all service packs
Symptom
Upgrading from Zetafax version 9 and 10 to Zetafax 2008 either hangs, or fails with the following error (1721):
Cause
The cause for this problem is being investigated.
Resolution
The following steps can be followed to prevent this problem and must be performed before the upgrade is attempted:
- Extract the folder provided (UpdateService) to a temporary location, e.g. c:\temp\
- Browse to < program files> \Common Files\Installshield
- Rename the existing folder UpdateService to UpdateService.old
- Copy the new UpdateService folder extracted above to this folder.
- Now launch the Zetafax Server 2008 installer.
- The upgrade to Zetafax Server 2008 should now succeed.
