PRB: Zetafax SMTP Server fails to send if the recipient email address contains a carriage return

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

Symptom

When sending an email using the Zetafax SMTP Server, if the recipient email address contains a carriage return the email fails to send.

Cause

This is due to the Zetafax SMTP Server not being able to deal with the carriage return and parsing the email address incorrectly.

Resolution

A hotfix is available from Equisys Technical Support which resolves this issue.

Status

This fault was corrected in the above mentioned hotfix.
