This article describes the new features and other improvements in the May 2024 update of the Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture Extension for Business Central.

Release date, version and availability 

July 2, 2024 (version 3.0.24180) available for download for on-premises Business Central systems and on Microsoft AppSource for Business Central Online systems from the release date.

Feature enhancements

Zetadocs Capture’s AP Automation solution has been updated this release with the following improvements.

Invoice Received Date

Zetadocs will now also automatically set the Invoice Received Date to the Work Date to save time setting this field manually.

Posting Date override

Added a Zetadocs System Setting option to set the Posting Date to the vendors invoice date (Document Date) rather than the default Work Date.

Delete all lines

Zetadocs now offers a Delete All Lines option on the Preview screen which can be useful when wanting to copy and paste a more relevant line from the invoice e.g. Phone bills.

Quality and performance improvements 

This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following:

Document queue 'Process All' action leaves files checked out

Resolved an issue where after choosing the 'process all' action, files remain in a checked out state, requiring a user to check files back in manually before being able to perform other actions. This mainly impacts users who have the 'delete after archive' option disabled, or if the document queue processing encounters an error on certain entries (for instance, due to missing prerequisite fields). This fix was released July 2, 2024.

Values not recognized for invoices with decimal separator format different to the Business Central system region

Corrected behaviour to allow processing of invoice values with decimal separators corresponding to the region of the vendor. This fix was released July 2, 2024.

Unable to send documents on multi language systems

Resolved an issue where Zetadocs Delivery would fail to send documents when the Business Central display language was different from the underlying system language. This fix was released July 2, 2024.

Item tracking messages supressed

Resolved an issue where Zetadocs Capture would not show item tracking messages after the Zetadocs Extension was installed, impacting customers relying on Business Central messages to tell them when a serial or lot number was a required field for the item selected. This fix was released June 19, 2024.

Changing the Log Level freezes the user session

Moved the automatic cleanup of Zetadocs trace logs to a background process to avoid the system becoming unresponsive when there are numerous log entries to clear. Choosing Clear Trace Logs on the Zetadocs Activity Log screen will now also run a background task.

The SharePoint site missing show in error

Fixed an authorization issue that could occur when closing the Zetadocs General Settings page after updating the SharePoint settings.
