Feature enhancements
Improved welcome experience for new users
When a new user account is created, Zetadocs Expenses sends the user a welcome email which includes a link to set their password. We have updated the email to improve the experience for new users, and help them learn how to use the app.
The email now includes a link to the Zetadocs Expenses User Guide, and we have added some short tutorial videos to the guide showing how to submit expenses and perform other common tasks. We have also added links to the email for installing the Zetadocs Expenses mobile app, making it simpler for the new user to install this on their phone and other devices.
Preview features
The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only. This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its implementation before general release. Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.
Single sign on using Microsoft work and school accounts
We are adding support for using a Microsoft work and school account to sign in, as an alternative to using a Zetadocs account (username and password).
Each user signs in with their existing Microsoft account. This means that they do not have to remember a separate password for Zetadocs Expenses, making access easier and more intuitive. If the Microsoft account is disabled then the user’s access to Zetadocs Expenses is blocked automatically, making it simpler for IT teams to process leavers.
Once you enable the feature on your system, all existing user accounts are switched to allow either sign in method. This makes it simple for existing customers to rollout the new feature. If some of your users do not have a Microsoft work or school account for your company, you can still let them to sign in with a Zetadocs account which simplifies access by external contractors or other partners.
This update includes support for signing in to the admin site and the desktop client app using a Microsoft work or school account. We will be adding support for the mobile apps for iOS and Android devices in the next update.
Easier creation of user accounts
We have streamlined the process of adding new users, for companies using single sign on with Microsoft work and school accounts.
When you add a new user you can now search for them in the list of Microsoft users for your company. Zetadocs Expenses then sets the name automatically, saving time and reducing the chance of mistakes.
Quality and performance improvements
This update includes a number of general quality and performance improvements.
Additional upgrade steps
Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV
This release is compatible with previous versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector (versions 3.3.18178 and later).
Versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector before the June 2019 release (versions before 3.3.19148) will not work with Business Central on-premises systems using the April 2019 of Business Central (BC14), or with older Business Central systems with cumulative update 4 (BC13 CU4).
To upgrade the connector, follow the instructions in this technote. Please contact Equisys for further assistance if required.
Mobile apps
Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
