Changes in this update
Feature enhancements
Support for mileage in kilometers
The system administrator can now configure the system to use kilometers instead of miles for recording and reimbursing business mileage. This is an account setting which applies to all users and vehicle types on the account, and is configured in the Regional Settings section of the admin site.
The setting changes the mileage units which are displayed by the client app, as well as the standard route distances which are calculated on the mileage form using Google maps.
Changing the setting does not affect the figures in any mileage records or mileage rates which have already been created. This means that if you have been entering distances in km then you can change the setting without invalidating or changing existing records.
Preview features
The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only. This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its implementation before general release. Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.
Mobile device receipt viewer
We have added a receipt viewer in the mobile app, with the same functionality as the viewer in the desktop app which we released earlier this year. This enables you to scroll through multiple receipts on an expense quickly, and supports viewing receipts in a side pane on larger tablets.
Quality and performance improvements
This update includes general quality and performance improvements, including correcting the following issues.
Viewing receipts
We have improved the receipt viewer in the desktop app, to increase the speed of loading and viewing receipts and correct some quality issues.
Fuel VAT amount total and validation warnings
For systems which are configured to reclaim VAT on mileage, the system displays a validation warning if the VAT amount being reclaimed was less than the VAT paid on fuel expenses in the same report.
This validation warning, and the Total Fuel VAT line on the report, are now only shown if fuel expenses are enabled for the vehicle types being used.
Reimbursable amount on Vehicle Report
Previously the reimbursable amount shown on the Vehicle Report form was 0.01 (1p or 1 cent) different to the exported amount on some reports due a difference in rounding behavior. This has now been corrected.
Missing paperclip icon
In the list of expenses on an Expense Report and elsewhere, a paperclip icon is shown against each expense which has one or more receipts attached. Previously this was not shown in some cases, so you could only tell that the expense had receipts by viewing (opening) the expense. This has now been corrected.
Additional upgrade steps
Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV
This release is compatible with older versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector and NAV codeunits.
Mobile apps
Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
Known issues with released features
Admin site can display screen from another web site
Pressing the Enter key on the admin site Manage Company screen can cause the sign-in page from a different web site to be displayed. This will be corrected in the next update.
