As of 10th February 2025, only Zetadocs Expenses Connector versions 3.4.24081 and later are compatible with the Zetadocs Expenses service. Customers running older versions must update to continue exporting to NAV.

Changes in this update

Feature enhancements

This release contains the following enhancements:

Dark theme

The Zetadocs Expenses clients now provide a dark theme appearance for users. This new setting is available within the Settings area and can be set to Dark, Light or make use of the current device setting

Receipt processing enhancements

Receipt processing has been updated to the latest Azure AI version, which improves recognition of fields and now allows automatic detection and setting of the currency based on the information from the receipt.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes various improvements including the following:

Improved visibility of edit fields for low contrast displays

Some fields in the Zetadocs Expenses client has been adjusted to have a higher contrast between the text and background colours. This results in the text being easier to read on certain displays.

Manage Users screen takes a long time to load

Improved performance in the Manage Users list screen when an account has a large number of users.

Uploading TIFF files from Android Photo Library results in the app terminating

Resolved an issue where in certain configurations, uploading a TIFF file receipt terminates the Zetadocs Expenses app. The TIFF file will now be uploaded successfully.

'Show more' option on reports do not remember state

Improved behaviour of the 'show more' option on reports. If a user clicks on 'show more' to show all expenses in the report, then navigates to an expense in the report, and back to the report again, the state is now retained and the expanded view is visible.

Additional upgrade steps

Extension for Business Central

This release is compatible with all previous versions of the Extension for Business Central. However, if you are using a previous version, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version to benefit from stability and performance improvements.

NAV Server Components

The NAV Server Components have not been updated in this release.

This release is compatible with previous versions of the NAV Server Components (versions 3.4.24081 and later).

The Zetadocs Expenses Connector Windows service is installed on your NAV Server computer and manages communication between the Zetadocs server and the Zetadocs NAV Server Components.

The Zetadocs Expenses Connector Windows service can be updated simply without affecting your NAV system.  Please contact Equisys for more information.

Reporting Template

The PowerBI Reporting Template has not been updated in this release.

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled
