Feature enhancements

iOS 18 support

The Zetadocs Expenses app has been updated to support iOS 18 and supports new functionality in the OS including securing the app using Face ID.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes various improvements including the following:

Inclusion of warning for retirement of older versions of Zetadocs Expenses Connector.

From 10th February 2025, only Zetadocs Expenses Connector versions 3.4.24081 and later will be compatible with the Zetadocs Expenses service. For customers impacted by this change, a warning message will be added to the history of each exported report. This change is only relevant for those customers using on-premise versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central (with Zetadocs codeunits installed). Customers using the Zetadocs Extension for Business Central are not impacted.

Notification to processor if approved expenses fail to export

There may be certain scenarios where approved expenses fail to export to the ERP for some reason. Previously, processors would need to navigate to the Zetadocs Expenses Status page to know that the export failed. Zetadocs Expenses now sends an email to the processor, and any delegates of the processor, informing them of an error.

Able to un-match expenses from a Payment Card Report after it has completed approval

An unintended behavior was possible whereby a submitter could un-match expenses from a Payment Card Report that has completed the workflow and is in the 'Done' state. This is now no longer possible and prevents unintentional edits to already completed reports.

Unable to submit Payment Card Report after custom properties are deleted from the System Settings

Corrected an issue where if certain custom property settings were deleted from the System Settings site, a Payment Card Report is not able to be submitted if it includes an expense with that custom property selected.

Additional upgrade steps

Extension for Business Central

This release is compatible with all previous versions of the Extension for Business Central. However, if you are using a previous version, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version to benefit from stability and performance improvements.

NAV Server Components

The NAV Server Components have not been updated in this release.

This release is compatible with previous versions of the NAV Server Components (versions 3.3.18178 and later).

The Zetadocs Expenses Connector Windows service is installed on your NAV Server computer and manages communication between the Zetadocs server and the Zetadocs NAV Server Components.  If the Zetadocs Expenses Connector Windows service on your system is version 3.4.24080 or older, then we recommend you upgrade it to version 3.4.24081 (or later) to benefit from reliability and performance improvements when exporting reports.

The Zetadocs Expenses Connector Windows service can be updated simply without affecting your NAV system.  Please contact Equisys for more information.

Reporting Template

The PowerBI Reporting Template has not been updated in this release.

Mobile apps

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
