Zetadocs Express: On devices and in the cloud

Where next on the Zetadocs Express?

A year ago, ahead of Directions EMEA 2013, I blogged (What’s next with Zetadocs Express)  about the various enhancements we’d made to Zetadocs Express since its initial launch, and how we intended to continue that investment, along with a little teaser to come along to the event and see how we are continuing that innovation.

At that event we announced our continued collaboration with Microsoft to supply Zetadocs Express as NAV’s document management, and previewed Zetadocs running in the NAV Web client, archiving documents to SharePoint online, fully supporting NAV’s new cloud delivery model ON Windows Azure and IN Office 365.

It’s a journey

Supporting a solution that runs in a browser means no software installed on the client end, and this fundamental change signaled the start of a journey transforming Zetadocs so that it can be run on devices, in the cloud.

In Innovation delivers choice we blogged about the delivery of the first milestone along this architectural transformation. We introduced the option of a Document FactBox installed on the NAV server to support the NAV 2013 R2 Web client to capture documents related to any record in context within NAV.

This was our first step towards a cloud first, mobile first Zetadocs that gives our partners and their customers a much simpler deployment option and access across all NAV clients.

Choose your destination

Essentially this transformation is all about helping you deliver more choice to your customers whilst driving down your cost of sale and deployment.

It is why we invest so heavily in supporting these latest innovations and deployment options, and keep pace with Microsoft’s annual release cadence for NAV.

It gives you the confidence to say YES to whichever way you and your customers choose to consume NAV.

Jump aboard

We have a clear vision of cloud-first document management software supported on devices and any NAV client.

We’ll be presenting Zetadocs at both Directions events again this year, and we’ll reveal more on how best to take advantage of these choices in the run up to the release of NAV 2015 and beyond.

So if you are going to be at either event why not jump aboard to see what’s next for Zetadocs and Zetadocs Express:
