Zetafax Configuration
The Zetafax Configuration program configures the fax server software and devices and sets up Zetafax users and their permissions. The program resides on the hard drive as C:\Program Files\Zetafax Server\SERVER\ZFSETUP.EXE. Zetafax Configuration requires the Microsoft Management Console (MMC), to be installed when you install Zetafax.
Zetafax Configuration allows day-to-day maintenance and administration of a Zetafax system. It provides the following options. Click a heading for more detailed information:
This option allows you to create and delete users' accounts, and specify when and where each user may send faxes. Each user can be set up as an administrator, who can edit the network address book, submit urgent messages and remotely configure and monitor the Zetafax Server. Use the Add new Zetafax users wizard or Add new Zetafax user shortcut in the right pane to create and configure a new Zetafax user.
Use this option to add and configure devices, such as fax modems, intelligent fax boards and printers for printing incoming and outgoing faxes. Use the Add device shortcut in the right pane to add and configure a new device.
This option allows you to set up automatic inward routing of faxes between users on the same or another Zetafax system.
With this option you can:
•Specify whether incoming and outgoing faxes are archived to disk.
•Select which printers are used for the automatic printing of incoming and outgoing faxes.
•Specify whether charge codes are enabled or set as a requirement.
•Define off-peak call times along with geographical areas of local, national and international telephone calls to control where each user can send faxes.
•Specify the number of dialing attempts, together with the delay between retries.
•Configure and enable remote administration of the Zetafax Server.
•Configure Least Cost Routing servers, rules and links. For more information, see Least Cost Routing.
•Configure Fax Relaying using Zetafax.
•Adjust various system defaults.
This option allows you to create and install new cover sheets and letterheads for use in Zetafax.
This option allows you to register the software when first purchased, or upgrade it at a later date.
Use this option to launch your web browser and connect to the Support page on the Equisys web site.
