Troubleshooting

During importing from a paradox file you may receive an error message similar to one of the following:

Unexpected error from external database driver (9499).

Unexpected error from external database driver (12040).

This has been logged as a problem by Microsoft with early versions of some databases for example Access.

There are two options available to deal with this issue:

1.	Upgrade to a later version of your printer driver

2.	Ensure that the full path to your database is less than 65 characters in length including the file name for example:

C:\Documents and Settings\SamSmith\Datasource\database.mdb = 56 characters
