Zetafax failover - manual failover

There are serval reasons why a manual failover of your Zetafax system might be necessary:

 

•Routine Maintenance

•Addition of extra software

•Addition of extra hardware

•Testing of your failover system

 

To manually failover your system follow these steps:

 

1.  On the Back-up Zetafax Server select the Go Active option from the Options menu.

 

You will be prompted with the following message:

 

‘Are you sure you wish to shutdown the Primary Server (<<Primary Zetafax Server machine name>>) 

and continue processing on this machine (<<Back-up Zetafax Server machine name>>)?'

 

2.  Select OK and your Primary Zetafax Server will close down.

 

Note: If you want for any reason to shut down both your Primary Zetafax Server and your Back-up Zetafax Server you must close down your Back-up server first.
