SMTP Email Setup Service

This dialog allows you to configure the gateway for SMTP servers. It is necessary that both your corporate SMTP Server and the Zetafax SMTP Server are installed and are running. The Zetafax SMTP Server data directory should be marked as a shared directory.

SMTP Mail path:

Enter the full path name to the data directory of the Zetafax SMTP Server. This should be a full UNC path name if the Zetafax SMTP Server is installed on another computer on the network.

SMTP domain name:

This must be the company domain name.

Test connection

Choose this option to test the connection to the Zetafax SMTP Server. The gateway will not be configured until this connection is made.

Cover Page

When sending a fax message from an email client, the normal Zetafax cover sheets are available. These are attached to the message when it is passed to the Zetafax server. Choose the cover sheet you require from this list, or if you do not wish to send a cover sheet.

Cover page: Always

Choose this option if you wish all users to use the cover sheet you have selected from the list.  Cover page: Default

Choose this option if you wish each user to be able to use his/her own default cover sheet. A Zetafax user may select his/her default cover sheet by running the Zetafax Client.

Omit cover page if no text

If this option is selected, attachment-only messages will not include a cover sheet, even though a cover sheet has been selected.

Return sent files after transmission

If this option is selected, when the gateway sends a response message to the email client that indicates the success or failure of the fax, all attachment files will be included in the response. If this option is not selected, the attachment files are only included if the message has been rejected by Zetafax.
