Configuring Zetafax users to use the Email Gateway for Lotus Notes
Once the gateway is installed, you can configure Zetafax users to both send and receive fax messages from their Lotus Notes software.
This section describes the process of configuring a single Zetafax user in order to test your installation. It also takes you through the stages of importing a list of email users which is necessary for setting up additional Zetafax users, for more information, see Setting up Email Gateway users and Managing user accounts using Lotus Notes as it is also possible to enable email users to use the Zetafax gateway using the Lotus Notes public address book.
The Lotus Notes Import Service dialog allows you to build a list of Lotus Notes users on your site which is used by Zetafax Configuration , when Zetafax users are configured to use the gateway.
It is convenient to create the list at this point. However if you do not do so, you will have a further opportunity to create it when configuring Zetafax users.
The gateway will remember your Lotus Notes connection information from the previous screen and display it here.
•Choose whether you wish to import addresses from the local or global address book.
•Click the OK button to begin the import.
Setting up users
•Click Users and user groups option from the Zetafax Configuration main menu and select the Zetafax users option.
If you have an existing user configured, you can enable this user to use the Email Gateway by highlighting the user's entry and clicking the Edit button. Alternatively, to create a new user, click the New button.
To allow a user to send messages from Lotus Notes via Zetafax:
•Check the box marked Allow sending from Email Gateway .
To allow a user to receive fax messages in their mailbox:
•Check the box marked Forward received messages via email.
Email username
If either or both of these boxes are checked, it is important that a valid email username appears in the Email user name box. If you have already created a list of Lotus Notes users for this site, as described in Listing users above, then this box will be completed automatically by Zetafax.
If the Email user name box is still blank, click the Browse button to browse the current list maintained by the Zetafax Server.
You can manually select a name from this list by highlighting it and clicking the Select button.
If you chose not to create this list earlier, or have added email users to your system since the last time this list was created by Zetafax, click the Refresh button to update the list of Lotus Notes users.
