Email Gateway Properties
This dialog tab allows you to configure the Email applications that will be connected to the gateway, and to set up the frequency of the service.
Polling interval
This value represents the time (in seconds) that elapses between each occasion when the gateway looks for messages to transmit. Any value between 1 and 7200 seconds (120 minutes) is permissible. It is recommended that a small value is used to avoid delays in fax transmission. In particular with Exchange systems a value of less than 10 seconds is advised to allow Rush/Hold/Release/Abort commands to function correctly.
Polling disabled - From:
This value represents the time at which the gateway will automatically go offline.
Polling disabled - To:
This value represents the time at which the gateway will automatically come online. Leave these values blank for continuous operation.
Log file creation
If you check this box, the gateway will log all events to a Microsoft Excel compatible file named SEND.LOG in the Z-MAIL/DATA subdirectory. The format of each entry is as follows:
date / time / sender name / recipient name / fax number
Services list
This is a list of all email services that you currently have installed. A service must have a status of enabled if it is to be connected to the gateway. To enable a service, double-click on an entry, or select the entry and choose Setup . The dialog that configures the selected Email system will then appear.
