Email Gateway

 


 

Provides configuration options for the Email Gateway, allowing sending and receiving of fax messages by email.

You can display this dialog in two ways: Select Email Gateway in Server settings and click the Action menu, or right-click, and select Edit . Select the Email icon from the Zetafax - configuration options dialog. Email Gateway

When Enabled is selected, the Email gateway is enabled and the dialog options change: see Email Gateway enabled for more information.

 

Email type

 

Allows the user to select the type of email system which they are using. If Microsoft Exchange is selected, then the Exchange profile is automatically selected. If (disabled) is selected then all of the other fields are reset, until a new email type is chosen.

 

Email user account or profile

 

Set up the user account name or profile if Microsoft Exchange is selected. An account name must be provided in this field before exiting the dialog, unless the Email type is (disabled).

 

Password

 

Set up the password for the user account. If already set, a number of asterisks are displayed. These must all be deleted before typing a new password. Stay logged in while server running (more efficient)

 

Check this box to specify whether or not to stay logged in to email whilst the Zetafax server is running. It is recommended that this option is selected for efficiency reasons.

 

Test

 

Click this button to test if the account name and password provided can be used to connect to the email facility. It is advised that you do not attempt this whilst the Zetafax server is running, as it may stop received faxes being forwarded.

 

OK

 

Save any changes that have been made to the Email gateway configuration, and exit the Zetafax - configuration options dialog.

 

Cancel

 

Do not save changes made to the Email gateway configuration, and exit the Zetafax - configuration options dialog.

 

Reset

 

Reset the Email gateway configuration to its default settings. The settings are not saved until either OK is clicked or another category icon is selected from the scroll (left).

 

If you use the scrolling icons on the left to move to another Category , any changes made to the Email gateway configuration are saved.
