FIX: Zetafax tab in Active Directory Users and Computers hangs Print ZTN1905 ID: ZTN1905 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax Exchange 2003 Connector for Zetafax Server 2012 Symptom After installing the Zetafax Connector on the Exchange 2003 Server machine, and navigating to the Zetafax tab in the properties of a user in Active Directory Users and Computers, the dialog hangs and the mmc.exe process needs to be terminated from task manager. Cause This was due to an Exchange 2010 server being introduced into the domain. When the Exchange 2010 server is introduced, the Active Directory Schema is changed, one of these schema properties is used to detect the Exchange version, and thus the area in Active Directory, where the Zetafax properties are stored. When the Exchange 2007 or 2010 server is introduced, Zetafax identifies the Exchange connector as non-2003 and thus attempts to access an incorrect area of Active Directory. Resolution This issue has been resolved in the Zetafax 2012 Platform Feature Pack, available for download here.
