FIX: Cannot create ZfViewX control error on opening the Zetafax client Print ZTN1347 ID: ZTN1347 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax V8.0.0.104 and later Symptom When trying to open the Zetafax client an error message appears stating that it cannot create the ZfViewX control. When you select OK the client opens but the menus may remain unavailable. Cause This is caused by the zfviewx.ocx file remaining unregistered after updating the Zetafax client. It can also appear if you uninstall the Zetafax Outlook Extensions and continue to use the Zetafax client. Resolution Locate the file zfviewx.ocx and register it. By default this file is located in C:\Program Files\Zetafax for Zetafax version 8 and C:\Program Files\Common Files\Equisys for Zetafax version 9. To register a file click on Start | Run and type regsvr32. Locate this file, and drag and drop it onto the Run Menu. This will enter the correct path and allow you to click on OK to register the file.
