HOWTO: Configure the Zetafax Server to startup as a service Print ZTN1623 ID: ZTN1623 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax Server 2007 Summary This technote will walk through the process involved in configuring the Zetafax Server to run as a service, allowing it to start up automatically with your machine. More information If you do not have the email gateway installed, or your mail server is installed on the same machine, local system should suffice. To confirm these settings have been applied to the Zetafax Server you can go to: Start | Programs | Zetafax | Zetafax Server and launch the Zetafax Server, the title bar should display “Zetafax Server Monitor”: When you restart your machine, the Zetafax Server will automatically run as a service. Go to Start | Programs | Zetafax | Zetafax Tools| Manage Zetafax Server service Select the “Install and configure the service” radio button and click OK. Click the settings button and change the “Startup type” to “automatic”. If you are using the email gateway and your mail server is installed on a different machine, you need to ensure the service “Log On As” account has permissions to the connect folder on the exchange machine (file:///\\mail_server_name\connect\) i.e. a domain admin.
