HOWTO: Configuring Zetafax 6.01 on Windows 2000 Professional after upgrading from NT4. Print ZTN1059 ID: ZTN1059 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 6.01 or later Windows 2000 Professional RC2 or later Summary Zetafax customers who intend upgrading their current NT4 Workstation O/S running Zetafax 6.01 to Windows 2000 Professional should follow the instructions below after the upgrade, to ensure the continued working of Zetafax. Zetafax 6.01g introduced support for Windows 2000 and therefore it is imperative that the current copy of Zetafax is 6.01g or later prior to or after updating the O/S. A free update to Zetafax 6.01 is available to all Zetafax 6 users. This update is located on the Equisys web site at http://www.equisys.com./ More information During the upgrade from NT4 to Windows 2000 the Zetafax printer drivers will be deleted. This is due to the Zetafax printer drivers being platform specific. You will therefore need to install these after the O/S upgrade is complete. This is achieved as follows: From the Start button, point to Programs> Zetafax> Workstation Setup. You will be presented with the Zetafax installation dialog, Select 'Install client - standard setting' and click OK. Confirm the path to the source files and default target path by clicking OK. The program will prompt you to stop the print spooler. Click OK to continue the installation. The Zetafax printer, FaxMerge printer and Zetafax program group will now be installed. Click OK to quit the Zetafax installation dialog box.
