HOWTO: Install the Zetafax Connector for Sage SalesLogix Print ZTN1686 ID: ZTN1686 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 2007 Sage SalesLogix 6.2.6 or later (network client only) Summary The Zetafax Connector for Sage SalesLogix is a component of the Zetadocs for Sage SalesLogix product. Installation requires a password which is supplied when the product is purchased. This document describes the process for installing the Zetafax Connector for Sage SalesLogix which will enable Zetafax as a fax provider for use within the SalesLogix CRM system. More information The Zetafax Connector for SalesLogix component needs to be installed on the following: All computers where the SalesLogix client will be using Zetafax as the fax provider. A computer with the SalesLogix Administrator program. SalesLogix client installation Install the Zetafax Client if not already installed. Download the Zetafax Connector for SalesLogix Setup.exe installation program from the following web page (http://www.equisys.com/downloads/saleslogix). Launch Zetafax Connector for SalesLogix Setup.exe and verify that the installation path is correct. Click the “Install” button to proceed. When prompted enter the password supplied with the Zetadocs for SalesLogix product purchase and click the “OK” button. After confirming that the Zetafax Connector for SalesLogix installation has completed successfully press any key to continue. SalesLogix Administrator installation Install the Zetafax Connector for SalesLogix as described above on a computer where the SalesLogix Administrator program is installed. Login to the SalesLogix Administrator program. Select “Users” from the navigation bar. Right-click the user account you would like to enable, choose Edit User... and click on the Client System tab. Select “Zetafax (Equisys)” as the Fax Provider for the user. Click the “OK” button to save the changes. Repeat for each user that needs to be able to fax from SalesLogix. Note: Selecting the Fax Provider must be done in the SalesLogix Administrator program rather than from the SalesLogix client program. Even though this functionality is available in the SalesLogix client, a bug in older versions of SalesLogix (6.2.x) prevents the Zetafax (Equisys) information from being stored correctly.
