HOWTO: Install the Zetafax Outlook Extensions and Forms on Windows 98 Print ZTN1512 ID: ZTN1512 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 9.0 SP1 and later Summary In Zetafax 9.0 SP1 and later, Windows 98 Workstation users are required to install the Zetafax Outlook custom forms and extensions manually. This technical note describes the process for doing this. More information Installation Steps To configure a Windows 98 machine to use the Zetafax Outlook Extensions and Custom Forms, please follow this process: Download the Windows 98 specific Outlook Extensions and Forms from the following location: ftp://ftp.equisys.com/pub/Zetafax9/ZfOutExt.exe Extract the files to a temporary directory. On each client machine, copy over the forms to the user's Personal Forms folder: Start Microsoft Outlook Select Open à Outlook Data File from the File menu Browse to the directory where the download was extracted to. Browse into the ZFFORMS sub-folder, select the file Zetafax.pst and click Open. The Zetafax folder will now appear in the Outlook tree-view. Expand the Zetafax item and click on the Forms sub-item. Select Options from the Tools menu On the sub-dialog, click on the Other tab Select the Advanced Options button Click the Custom Forms button Click the Custom Forms tab Click on Manage Forms Click on the Set. button (the left-hand window on an English OS) and select the ZetafaxàForms folder from the displayed window. Click on the other Set. button and select your Personal Forms folder. Copy the fax forms from the .pst file to the Personal Forms folder by clicking the Copy button. Click the Clear Cache button. Dismiss the dialogs. Now install the Zetafax Outlook Extensions for Windows 98 on each machine: Close down Microsoft Outlook Browse to the directory where the download was extracted to. Browse into either the ZfOutExt or ZFExt2K folder depending on the version of Microsoft Exchange you are running (ZfOutExt is for use with Exchange 5.5 only.
